It is known that AG Pitambar Acharya informed the High Court about the relaxation of the age limit. However, it will be applicable only in the case of applicants who have approached the High Court.
Odisha Police Inspector recruitment relaxed the maximum age limit by 3 years.The government issued a notification in this regard on 17/01/2025. According to the information, the age relaxation petition was filed because SI recruitment has been closed since 2018.
It has been revealed that on 17/01/2025, the Odisha Government issued a notification for 933 posts for various departments. Out of these posts, the Odisha Police Recruitment Board has issued a notification for 609 posts of Sub Inspector, 253 Arm Sub Inspector Police, 47 Fire Station Sub Inspector and 24 posts of Assistant Jail Sub Inspector. As per the 2018 notification, the age limit was the same, so many aspirants filed a case in the High Court regarding this notification to relax the age limit. Now, the High Court has relaxed the age limit by 3 years after hearing this case.
