Koraput is taking another step forward in the health sector. A new building with 650 beds has been inaugurated at Koraput Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the inauguration of the new building as the chief guest. A big step in the health infrastructure of South Odisha.
This new block will be a great help in providing health services to the patients of Koraput district and adjoining districts and Chhattisgarh.
It has been hoped that this will be a great help in providing health services to the patients. At present, thousands of patients are coming to the hospital every day. But due to the shortage of beds, the patients are facing a lot of problems. Due to the shortage of beds, the patients are forced to go to Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack or Visakhapatnam.
The new building will provide better healthcare at the local level. The locals are hopeful that this will also lead to recruitment of more doctors. Long-standing vacancies will be filled and services will improve.
After the inauguration, the Chief Minister addressed a public meeting at Koraput Government College Maidan. He spoke about the commitment of the Odisha government to strengthen healthcare services in remote and neglected areas.
