Odisha Govt’s New Step For Women & Child Safety . Appointed Para Legal Volunteers In Every Panchayat -ମହିଳା ଓ ଶିଶୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ବଡ ପଦକ୍ଷେପGovernment’s big step for the protection of the state’s residents. Para-legal volunteers will be appointed in every panchayat for the protection of women and children. Para-legal volunteers will provide legal assistance to the victims at the initial stage if any crime against women is committed in the state.
This information was revealed after a meeting of the Law Department with the Women and Child Development Department chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Parvathi Parida.

According to information, the Law Minister, officials of the Legal Services Authority were present in this meeting. The government is giving importance to providing legal rights to ordinary families and tribal families living in villages.
The government will make ordinary women aware of this right. Anganwadi workers will also be involved in this work. If any woman faces any problem, if she is a victim of torture or domestic violence, she will initially inform the para legal volunteer.
The volunteer will help her with legal aspects. Along with this, the problem will be taken up with the police station and the court. In the coming days, the Panchayati Raj and SCST departments will also be included in this program.
