Vigilance conducted simultaneous searches at a total of 4 places including the residence of Executive Engineer Jagannath Patnaik in Bhubaneswar on charges of amassing assets beyond his means.

During the searches, it was found that he had assets worth a lot of money. He has a house in Badagarh and Gunupur in Bhubaneswar and 3 expensive plots. Out of these, 2 are in Badagarh area of Bhubaneswar and the other is in Khandagiri area.

He has a two-storey farm house on 1 acre 57 decimil land in Ranpur mouza of Balianta tehsil near Bhubaneswar. There is a fish pond with it. There is also a chicken farm here. There are currently 15 chickens in it. Various types of fruits and vegetables are being cultivated along with it. The technical branch of the vigilance is still measuring and calculating the real value of the executive engineer’s house and plots.

According to information, 460 grams of gold ornaments have been recovered from Mr. Patnaik’s house so far, while the vigilance has estimated the value of his bank and insurance deposits and mutual fund investments at Rs 80 lakh 35 thousand 371.
