The Special Intensive Revision of Voter List in the state after 24 years is going to begin from September next month. State Chief Electoral Officer R.S. Gopalan informed the media on Monday.

ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ୨୪ ବର୍ଷ ପରେ ଭୋଟର ତାଲିକାର ସ୍ପେଶାଲ୍ ଇଣ୍ଟେନସିଭ୍ ରିଭିଜନ୍ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆସନ୍ତା ମାସ ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବରରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେବାକୁ ଯାଉଛି | ଏନେଇ ରାଜ୍ୟ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଆର.ଏସ୍‌. ଗୋପାଳନ ସୋମବାର ଗଣମାଧ୍ୟମକୁ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି |

ଭୋଟର ତାଲିକାକୁ ତ୍ରୁଟିମୁକ୍ତ କରିବା ଏହି ସ୍ପେଶାଲ୍ ଇଣ୍ଟେନସିଭ୍ ରିଭିଜନ୍ (SIR) ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟାର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ | ଏହା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଭୋଟର ତାଲିକାରୁ ଅଯୋଗ୍ୟ, ମୃତ ବା ଅନୁପସ୍ଥିତ ଭୋଟରଙ୍କ ନାମ ବାଦ ଦିଆଯିବ ଏବଂ ନୂତନ ଭୋଟରଙ୍କୁ ତାଲିକାରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ କରାଯିବ ଏବଂ ଭୋଟର ପରିଚୟ ପତ୍ରରେ ଥିବା ତ୍ରୁଟି ଯଥା ନାମ, ଠିକଣା ବା ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ତଥ୍ୟରେ ସଂଶୋଧନ କରାଯିବ |

The main objective of this Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process is to make the voter list error-free. Through this, the names of ineligible, deceased or absent voters will be removed from the voter list, new voters will be included in the list and any errors in the voter identity card such as name, address or other details will be corrected.

ଆର.ଏସ୍‌. ଗୋପାଳନ କହିଛନ୍ତି, “ଏହି ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ନିର୍ବାଚନକୁ ଅଧିକ ସ୍ୱଚ୍ଛ ଓ ନିରପେକ୍ଷ କରିବାରେ ସହାୟକ ହେବ। ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଭୋଟରଙ୍କୁ ତାଲିକାରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ କରିବା ଏବଂ ଅଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନାମଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ବାଦ ଦେବା ହେଉଛି ଆମର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ।”

ରାଜ୍ୟର ସମସ୍ତ ୧୪୭ଟି ବିଧାନସଭା ନିର୍ବାଚନ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଏବଂ ୨୧ଟି ଲୋକସଭା ନିର୍ବାଚନ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀରେ ଘରେ ଘରେ ଯାଇ ଭୋଟର ତାଲିକାର ଯାଞ୍ଚ କରାଯିବ। ଏଥିପାଇଁ ବୁଥ ଲେଭେଲ ଅଫିସର ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ନିୟୋଜିତ ହେବେ |

R.S. Gopalan said, “This process will help in making the elections more transparent and fair. Our aim is to include every eligible voter in the list and exclude the ineligible names.”

The voter list will be verified door-to-door in all the 147 assembly constituencies and 21 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state. Booth level officers and other election officials will be deployed for this.

In addition, the public can check their name through the online portal www.nvsp.in and Voter Helpline App and apply for correction or fresh registration if required. Form-6, Form-7 and Form-8 are also available for correction through offline.
